Care briefings for Georgia

Questions for the conversation

You know there is something to ask, but the words vanish during a visit. Keep these questions beside your own notes and skip the ones already answered.

Before a payment

  • What is the name and role of the person doing my assessment?
  • Please name the exact medicine. Will I receive tablets, an injection or a different type of medicine?
  • Which pharmacy would fill the prescription?
  • What does the whole quote include?
  • What happens to the fee if treatment is not advised?

During the assessment

  • Why does this option fit the concern I described?
  • What are the other choices, including no medicine?
  • What can the proposed tests tell us?
  • What do we still not know about this option?
  • What part of my medical history changes your view?

Before a refill

  • What will we review before continuing?
  • Who answers between visits, and how?
  • Which changes mean I need urgent help?
  • How would a visit in a room be arranged if I needed one?
  • What will the ongoing care and medicine cost?

Ask for an answer in words you would use

If the answer is a technical term, ask what it means for your own choice. Write down the answer, not just the term.

Leave space beside each question in your notes. An unanswered question is easier to follow up when it has not been buried under a treatment name.
